Lawyer, Legal Advisor in Intellectual and Industrial Property Issues

Christina Pigaki is an Athens-based lawyer with long-standing and specialized experience in the fields of Intellectual and Industrial Property Law, Commercial Law and legal support of companies and cultural and technological institutions. He has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1992 and is active as a legal advisor to numerous institutional, business and artistic entities in Greece and abroad.

She started her professional career specializing in Labour and Commercial Law and soon turned to the field of Intellectual Property, cooperating with the office of A. Metaxopoulos and participating as legal advisor in European research projects of the National Technical University of Athens.

Since 1995, she has maintained an active legal practice, providing legal services to companies, publishing houses, film and television productions, and has represented numerous organizations and companies in the audiovisual media sector. He has worked, among others, on international productions such as “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin”, “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 2”, “Swimming Home” and films by Th. Angelopoulos, M. Kakoyannis and P. Voulgaris.

He has served as legal advisor to the Greek Screenwriters’ Association, the Association of Producers of Audiovisual Works (SAPOE), the Association of Film and Television Producers (PAKT), the Greek Film Academy, ON Telecoms S.A. and DIGI 8 S.A., among others.

In 2010 he participated in two legislative committees of the Ministry of Culture for the adoption of Law 3905/2010 and for the issuance of a presidential decree on the Higher Schools of Film – Television. Since 2007, she has been representing sectoral legal bodies in Ministries and public organizations, and since 2015 she has been legal advisor to the “Network of Greek Audiovisual Production Companies”.

Her work is distinguished by her deep understanding of intellectual property issues, flexibility in the legal management of cultural works and the ability to bridge law with the needs of modern creation and technology.
