Aggeliki Nikolouli

Angeliki Nikolouli is the most iconic figure in investigative and police journalism in Greece. A pioneer and fearless, she was the first female police reporter in the country, paving the way for a particularly demanding and male-dominated field of reporting. Her career began in Pyrgos, with her first poetic publications, and developed rapidly through the newspapers of Patras, with reports that shocked the local community.

Moving to Athens, she collaborated with the newspapers Apogevmatini, Eleftheros Typos and Ethnos, recording revelations that often went beyond Greek borders – from terrorism and espionage cases to hijackings and criminal organisations. She stood out for her investigation into the ‘dragon’ of Drama, Kyriakos Papachronis, and for her decisive role in the arrest of dangerous criminals, such as Spyros Beskos.

She made her mark on television through the iconic programme Fos sto Tunnel , which has been broadcast continuously since 1995 and has contributed to the solving of dozens of crimes and the discovery of hundreds of missing persons. Fos sto Tunnel recently completed 1,000 episodes and has been honoured with more than 25 awards. It is also included in the Guinness Book of Records for the impressive number of cases that have been solved with her contribution. At the same time, the ‘Games of Life’ section has helped reunite families that had been lost since the war.

Its international reputation has led to collaborations and special features on television in Japan, Russia, Italy, France, Denmark, the Netherlands and other countries, highlighting the unique research model she has created with her team.

Alongside her television career, she has also published crime novels based on real cases.
Her books, ‘I Dreamed of Your Killer,’ ‘Death with Red Lips,’ ‘Murderous Love,’ and ‘I Will Be Your Shadow,’ are published by Kastaniotis Publications and have become bestsellers. Her fifth book is expected soon.
